Nowadays, children are often born out of wedlock, so a procedure such as determining paternity remains relevant. Under Czech law, children born out of wedlock have the same rights as children born in wedlock.

Our clients often confuse legal concepts such as the determination and denial of paternity. Finding paternity is a procedure for determining the identity of the child’s father, which is carried out on the basis of objective facts. The procedure for challenging paternity is applied when the father of the child is already registered and there is a desire for either party to rebut this fact.
