Travel unmarried couples

From 17 November 2020, you can apply to Czech embassies abroad for a visa to visit family or friends.
This option can only be used by persons who meet the condition of protective measures of the Ministry of Health: the foreigner must have a permanent partnership and live in joint accommodation with a Czech citizen or an EU citizen who is temporarily residing in the Czech Republic. .
What you need to do to get a visa:
1) Apply for a Schengen visa in the standard way when visiting family and friends at the local embassy of the Czech Republic or the visa center;
2) As proof of the purpose of the trip, provide the following documents: proof of permanent partnership and proof of joint accommodation (eg: child’s birth certificate, joint account statement, rental agreement, tickets from joint tours), etc.) + completed affidavit, which you can find on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.
IMPORTANT! Do not provide evidence regarding the present or the future (recently signed contracts, documents confirming joint trips in the last week, recently issued confirmation of the wedding date, joint photos, correspondence screenshots, etc.) Such documents will not be accepted for assessment.
